Job Overview:
A multi-state creditors’ rights law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney, licensed in Connecticut, to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making virtual and in-court appearances, reviewing and signing pleadings, and providing legal opinions. Experience in creditor’s rights representation is preferred but not required. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and organizational skills. Additional bar admissions will be viewed favorably.

Location:

Duties:

  • Make virtual and in-court appearances

  • Review and sign pleadings

  • Provide legal opinions on creditor’s rights cases

  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

  • Manage high volumes of cases with strict deadlines

  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all legal documentation

  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Connecticut State Bar

  • Additional admissions to Delaware, Michigan, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Washington, D.C., are a plus

  • Good standing with the relevant state bar

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Previous experience with collection software (Cogent) is a plus

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
