A law firm is seeking an experienced Healthcare Member-level Attorney to join their team in West Palm Beach. The candidate will provide legal counsel to healthcare providers on a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional matters. Draft and negotiate professional service, joint venture, business associate, and other healthcare-related agreements. Serve on healthcare M&A deal teams, including assistance with due diligence, regulatory review, and drafting of transaction documents. Develop and implement corporate compliance and HIPAA compliance programs for healthcare providers. Must be self-starters and have some portable book of business.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to healthcare providers on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Draft and negotiate various healthcare-related agreements, including professional service agreements, joint venture agreements, and business associate agreements.
  • Assist with due diligence and regulatory review for healthcare M&A transactions.
  • Develop and implement corporate compliance programs tailored to healthcare providers' needs.
  • Advise clients on HIPAA compliance and data privacy matters.
  • Handle other transactional and regulatory matters as needed.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare law.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating healthcare-related agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Portable book of business preferred.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical advice.
  • Experience with healthcare M&A transactions preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate compliance and HIPAA compliance programs.
  • Business development and client relationship management skills.
