Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated and driven Case Development Intake Attorney to join its team in Corpus Christi, TX. This role involves managing a caseload of approximately 50 cases, working closely with case managers, and overseeing case development from initial intake through investigation and preparation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills, ensuring that each case is well-prepared for litigation or resolution.

Duties:

  • Investigate and develop commercial and non-commercial cases.

  • Manage a docket of approximately 50 cases in collaboration with a case manager.

  • Secure and review accident reports, property damage photos, and witness statements.

  • Conduct scene investigations and obtain relevant records, including driving history and social media investigations.

  • Communicate with clients and insurance adjusters regarding case progress.

  • Draft and send letters of representation and Open Records Act requests.

  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary medical treatment and document medical damages.

  • Handle property damage claims and prepare monthly client status reports.

  • Prepare and document demands when applicable.

  • Act as a liaison between management and adjusters to facilitate case resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with all firm policies, ethical obligations, and legal requirements.

  • Participate in after-hours client sign-ups and intake duties as needed.

  • Take on additional projects and assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer service and sales experience preferred.

  • Leadership and team collaboration skills.

  • Strong commitment to client service and case development.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills:

  • Legal research and case analysis.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management.

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to motivate and manage support staff.

  • Proficiency in case management software and legal documentation.
