Duties:

  • Provide proactive client care and exceptional legal services throughout the criminal defense process.
  • Manage a caseload, including client communication, legal research, and case strategy development.
  • Represent clients in hearings, pretrial motions, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients through settlement or plea agreements.
  • Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff to strategize case approaches and improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Criminal law experience preferred.
  • Strong litigation and trial skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to grow and contribute to the firm’s development.
  • Recent law school graduates who have passed the bar are encouraged to apply.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligibility to do so).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial skills.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to think critically and develop legal strategies.
