Location

Duties

• Advise clients on compliance with state and federal privacy laws
• Conduct due diligence in M&A, financings, and commercial transactions
• Provide strategic counsel on data privacy and cybersecurity matters
• Manage data breach investigations and incident response efforts
• Defend regulatory enforcement actions from agencies such as the FTC, EU regulators, and others
• Assist with litigation involving class actions related to privacy and cybersecurity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global data governance and AI-related matters
• Guide clients through legal considerations in product development, governance programs, and compliance
• Represent clients in matters related to emerging technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in cyber, privacy, and AI law
• Hands-on experience advising on privacy laws and conducting due diligence for M&A
• Experience in class action litigation and regulatory defense
• Strong knowledge of state and federal data privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience with incident response and crisis management
• Familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI and biometrics
• Prior experience defending enforcement actions by regulatory bodies such as the FTC, SEC Cybersecurity Unit, and global regulators
• Large law firm experience is highly preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admitted to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• CIPP certification (Certified Information Privacy Professional) is a plus
