Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in the Charleston, South Carolina area is seeking a qualified Probate Attorney to join its Corporate General Counsel Office in Goose Creek, SC. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in probate administration, estate planning, and real estate law. Ideal candidates will be members in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar with a background in probate administration.

Location:

Duties:

  • Assist clients with probate administration processes.
  • Identify and address probate issues in real estate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze data, and provide effective legal solutions.
  • Assist clients in developing estate planning documents.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills and powers of attorney.
  • Deliver a professional, engaging client experience, addressing client questions and concerns.
  • Build and maintain business relationships to support the firm’s growth.
  • Conduct training for potential clients on probate and estate planning topics.

Requirements:

  • Experience in probate administration (preferred).
  • Experience in estate planning and real estate law is a plus.
  • Member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing, with knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative work style.
  • Self-motivated, community-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic in both academic and professional settings.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and member of the South Carolina State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing.
