Job Overview:
A well-established immigration law firm in Philadelphia is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Immigration Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in removal defense and family-based immigration law, with a focus on asylum, cancellation of removal, and permanent residence petitions. Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Manage family-based immigration cases and removal defense matters
  • Perform legal research and draft documents, including petitions, motions, and legal briefs
  • Represent clients at USCIS interviews, including Asylum Office interviews
  • Attend and represent clients at Master Calendar and Merits Hearings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review
  • Maintain organized digital and physical client files
  • Monitor critical case deadlines and manage case flow
  • Review and supervise the work of legal assistants
  • Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and next steps
  • Ensure that all work complies with legal standards and is submitted to appropriate government agencies

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • One year of experience in family-based immigration or removal defense (preferred)
  • Bar admission in Pennsylvania or New Jersey preferred
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (preferred)
