A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking a Casualty Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience handling premises, auto, labor law 240, and other general liability matters. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills. Trial experience is preferred. Duties:

  • Manage caseload involving premises liability, auto accidents, labor law 240, and other general liability matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to casualty cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and mediations.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements.
  • Assist senior attorneys with case strategy development and trial preparation.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting casualty litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience handling premises liability, auto accidents, labor law 240, and general liability matters.
  • Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
