A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Health Industry Associate Attorney with excellent academic credentials and a strong background in healthcare law. The role requires exceptional writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills to provide legal counsel to clients in the life sciences and health industry sectors.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare regulatory issues, including FDA compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and healthcare privacy.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to healthcare transactions and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on healthcare regulatory matters and risk management.
  • Assist in healthcare-related litigation and dispute resolution, including internal and government investigations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including FDA specialists, litigators, and healthcare privacy experts.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligible for admission by waiver.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a law firm environment focusing on healthcare law.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance issues, particularly in the life sciences sector.

 

Education:

Excellent academic credentials.

 

Certifications (Preferred):

Certification in Health Law or related field.

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
