Duties

  • Meet with clients to assess their financial situations and provide legal guidance

  • Represent clients in court appearances

  • Review bankruptcy cases for accuracy and legal viability

  • Resolve issues with the U.S. Trustee on behalf of clients

  • Research and draft pleadings related to bankruptcy cases

  • Communicate with courts, trustees, opposing counsel, and other law firms

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Comfortable handling a high-volume caseload

  • Previous bankruptcy experience preferred but not required (training available)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Tennessee

  • Admission to the Eastern or Middle District of TN preferred but not required
