Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A New York-based law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with over 10 years of litigation expertise to join their dynamic legal team. This is a full-time, hybrid position in New York City that offers an exciting opportunity to represent clients in various complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in multiple areas of litigation, including general liability, professional liability, and employment claims, and must be admitted to the New York Bar. Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial.
• Handle legal matters involving general liability, professional liability, employment claims, and other areas of litigation.
• Provide counsel to clients on diverse and challenging legal issues.
• Work closely with the legal team in drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as required.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to manage case files efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Experience in one or more of the following: casualty, construction defect, New York Labor Law, professional liability, employment law, and medical malpractice.
• Prior experience at an insurance defense firm is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York.

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
