A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with litigation experience to join its team in Keego Harbor, MI. Duties

  • Prepare for and conduct civil litigation in court, advocating for clients effectively.

  • Draft, edit, negotiate, and manage a diverse array of residential and commercial real estate transactions and contracts.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in litigation, encompassing all phases, including case preparation, research, discovery, and motions.
  • Experience taking witness and expert depositions and representing clients in mediations.
  • Strong courtroom experience is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Michigan Bar.

Skills

  • Exceptional legal writing and research abilities.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and familiarity with PracticeMaster/Tabs3 billing software.
