Job Title: Senior Surety & Fidelity Litigation Counsel

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Roseland, NJ is seeking an experienced litigator with a strong background in surety and fidelity law to join its legal team. Duties:

• Handle complex litigation involving surety and fidelity claims, insurance coverage, and related commercial disputes

• Represent clients in federal and state courts across New York and New Jersey

• Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and lead case strategy

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to develop litigation plans

• Provide legal counsel on contract performance issues and indemnity matters

• Participate in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate

• Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards in litigation practice

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, particularly in commercial disputes

• Substantial courtroom experience, including motion practice and case management

• Demonstrated knowledge of surety, fidelity, construction litigation, or insurance coverage

• Licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York

• Strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in New Jersey and New York
