Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced EOIR Immigration Attorney to represent clients in immigration proceedings and manage a diverse caseload. The role involves preparing clients and witnesses for court, managing cases, and working closely with community organizations on immigration law updates.

Duties:

  • Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a caseload of immigration cases.
  • Conduct intake meetings with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare and review immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Adjust applications/packets as necessary.
  • Present and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Meet with potential clients to strategize and determine necessary actions.
  • Provide legal analysis to identify case benefits.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Texas.
