A law firm seeks an experienced attorney who is actively licensed and residing in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of substantive legal experience and hold additional licensure in one or more of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, or West Virginia. We are looking for a proactive, collaborative, and creative individual who demonstrates determination and passion in their practice.

Duties:

  • Manage cases independently from initiation through resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve favorable outcomes based on thorough case analysis and ongoing investigations.
  • Communicate substantively with courts, administrative bodies, financial institutions, and clients.
  • Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
  • Attend and represent clients at hearings and trials as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania, with additional licenses in the specified states preferred.
  • Prior experience in one or more of these areas is preferred: Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Current membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar, with additional licensure preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • High levels of energy, discipline, and self-motivation suitable for a home office environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Confidence to take initiative and maintain accountability for case outcomes.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Mac systems, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and timekeeping software.
