A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a highly qualified Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This role is tailored for an individual with outstanding academic credentials, significant law firm or clerkship experience, and exceptional problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with complex litigation related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability, along with proven courtroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in high-stakes financial services litigation, focusing on areas such as commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting and filing legal documents, preparing motions and briefs, and conducting legal research.
  • Handle discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions, preparing interrogatories, and managing document production.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings, presenting arguments and evidence effectively.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation and arbitration.
  • Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice and client representation throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • At least 3 years of experience in litigation or clerkship, with a focus on financial services, commercial real estate, and distressed loans.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions and managing courtroom proceedings.
  • Strong academic performance and a record of excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
