A law firm seeks a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage client cases from initial assignment through settlement, with responsibilities in litigation, case strategy development, and client relations. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law, including trial experience, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with various team members.

Duties

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients from case assignment to settlement
  • Develop and implement legal strategies for discovery, investigation, mediation, and trial
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, or before agencies
  • Research and identify applicable legal remedies for clients' cases
  • Prepare and submit necessary documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement negotiations
  • Conduct discovery, depositions, trials, hearings, mediations, and oral arguments
  • Meet with clients to provide updates and ensure understanding of case progress
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties when appropriate
  • Collaborate with Personal Injury Team Lead and Case Managers on case management
  • Actively participate as a member of the attorney, case management, and firm teams
  • Perform administrative duties related to legal practice and case management
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and firm protocols
  • Adhere to GRACES protocol to guarantee client satisfaction
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Previous trial experience preferred
  • Ability to handle personal injury cases from inception to resolution
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in settlement discussions
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to case management
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining confidentiality

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active state bar license

Skills

  • Strong litigation, research, and writing abilities
  • Experience in personal injury law and trial proceedings
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex cases and work with various stakeholders
