A law firm seeks an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Houston, TX. This professional-track (non-partnership) position is ideal for an attorney skilled in managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions. The role involves representing a wide range of clients, including REITs, public and private companies, and institutional investors, across various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and developments.

Duties:

  • Oversee structured securities offerings, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance while aligning with client objectives.
  • Represent clients in diverse real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructuring, financing, and development.
  • Provide strategic guidance on real estate finance and the structuring of investment portfolios.
  • Work closely with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth and successful transaction processes.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support complex financial transactions and regulatory adherence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience managing structured securities offerings, with a strong emphasis on commercial real estate law.
  • Expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices for structuring real estate investments.
  • Prior experience with a prominent law firm, preferably within the AmLaw 100.
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
