A law firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its corporate, transactional, and estates team in Asheville, NC. Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation, strategy, and decision-making.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and estate-related documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to address complex legal matters and provide insights from research findings.
  • Stay informed on changes in laws, regulations, and legal trends to ensure compliance and offer accurate legal counsel.
  • Assist clients by offering legal advice, ensuring clear communication, and explaining their rights and obligations.
  • Participate in client meetings and consultations to gather necessary information and discuss case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, organized case files and documentation per firm policies and standards.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in North Carolina or admission pending to the NC Bar.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills, with an emphasis on corporate, transactional, and estate law.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to conduct thorough research and develop sound legal strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction and legal representation.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously, managing deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality in all aspects of legal work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active North Carolina Bar license or admission pending.
