Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 5-15 years of experience in personal injury litigation, handling catastrophic and severe injury cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex litigation matters involving car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, and airplane accidents, and wrongful death claims.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial and settlement negotiations.
• Handle both plaintiff and defense cases involving catastrophic and severe injuries, including automobile, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, and airplane accidents.
• Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of personal injury claims, applicable laws, and precedents.
• Manage discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
• Prepare and present cases in court hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, balancing plaintiff and defense strategies.
• Work closely with experts in fields such as accident reconstruction, medical professionals, and economists to build strong cases.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the litigation process.
• Stay up-to-date on developments in personal injury law and litigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top-tier law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• 5-15 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with a focus on catastrophic injury cases.
• Experience handling both plaintiff and defense matters, including wrongful death and severe accident claims.
• Strong trial experience with a proven track record of success in litigation.

Certifications:

• Certifications in Personal Injury Law or Litigation (preferred but not required).
