Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team. Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research to develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings.
  • Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents to ensure effective representation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in civil litigation and/or criminal litigation (prosecution or defense).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Success in trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters with attention to detail and precision.
