Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its dynamic team in St. Louis, MO office. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the firm and independently manage a caseload with minimal supervision.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support issues
  • Manage a caseload of family law cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and answer questions
  • Maintain and manage client relationships with professionalism and compassion
  • Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and support staff
  • Take on increasing responsibility for managing cases independently
  • Participate in firm activities and contribute to business development efforts

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, ideally with some background in family law
  • Courtroom experience, with a solid understanding of family law proceedings
  • Member in good standing with the Missouri Bar
  • Strong client relationship skills with an engaging and confident demeanor
  • Excellent legal writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized, able to handle a diverse caseload
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • A passion for family law and a desire to grow within the firm

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri (Required)
