A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Aurora, CO. Here is the job description in bulleted format:

Job Overview:

  • Manage cases from assignment to conclusion with minimal supervision.
  • Draft court pleadings, legal memos, and correspondence.
  • Oversee discovery matters, including depositions, filings, and motion defense.

Duties:

  • Manage cases independently, ensuring all deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Prepare and file court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed.
  • Participate in all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, conducting document reviews, and preparing for and defending depositions.
  • Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other appearances as required.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of jurisdiction experience in general litigation, ideally including foreclosure and REO-related litigation.
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Admitted to all federal district courts within the state or willing to obtain admission.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capability to manage a high caseload.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research databases and software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
