Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support compliance and litigation matters.
  • Draft various legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Assist in representing clients during court proceedings, depositions, and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediations or arbitrations.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex legal matters and case strategies.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met effectively.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions to address client needs and case goals.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to ERISA, tax, or employee benefits.
  • Licensure: Active admission to the state bar in Kansas or eligibility to become admitted.
  • Attributes: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
