Healthcare Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a California-barred attorney to join its Healthcare Litigation team, a focused subgroup within the broader Consumer Financial Services practice. This role involves high-level litigation in healthcare matters including ERISA benefits actions, payor-provider disputes, regulatory compliance, reimbursement claims, and coverage litigation. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases across state and federal courts in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Location

Duties

• Handle complex healthcare-related litigation matters

• Represent clients in ERISA benefit disputes, out-of-network reimbursement claims, and consumer healthcare coverage cases

• Draft and respond to legal pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy

• Engage in hearings, depositions, and client meetings

• Stay up-to-date with federal and state healthcare regulations and case law

Requirements

• Active California Bar admission

• 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in healthcare or financial services sectors

• Strong command of healthcare litigation, ERISA, and regulatory issues

• Experience in both state and federal court proceedings

• Judicial clerkship experience preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California

• Member in good standing with the California State Bar
