Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is looking to add an experienced Litigation Attorney to its growing practice in Yakima. The firm is seeking an individual with a robust background in litigation, capable of handling complex legal matters and advocating effectively on behalf of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of all stages of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and motions practice. Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and deposition summaries.
• Conduct depositions and witness interviews, gathering critical facts and evidence for case preparation.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Manage caseloads, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure cohesive case development and execution.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and motions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on litigation experience.
• Proven ability to manage and advance a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong trial and courtroom experience.
• Knowledge of discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.
• Ability to draft persuasive legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective client management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar.
