Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney licensed to practice in Connecticut. This full-time position is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The role involves handling various legal tasks, including both virtual and in-court appearances, reviewing pleadings, and providing sound legal advice in matters related to creditor's representation. Additional bar admissions in other states such as Delaware, Michigan, or Massachusetts are a plus but not required.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters, including virtual and in-court appearances.
  • Review, draft, and sign legal pleadings.
  • Provide legal opinions and advice to clients regarding foreclosure and creditor-related issues.
  • Work with a team to manage a high caseload while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels within the firm.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure all necessary legal documentation is prepared and filed on time.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar; additional bar memberships in Delaware, Michigan, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. are beneficial.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Connecticut (additional state licenses are a plus).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with collection software such as Cogent is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage a large volume of cases.
