Job Overview:

Location:

  • Ft. Myers, FL

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of insurance defense litigation matters, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defects, and Trucking
  • Develop and execute strategies for early resolution of cases and alternative dispute resolution
  • Manage client communications, including timely progress updates and responsiveness to calls and emails
  • Accurately and ethically record time for billing
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and promote successful outcomes
  • Participate in trial preparation and work towards Board Certification with dedicated trial teams
  • Support client development efforts and assist in building a professional profile

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years handling insurance defense-related matters
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Proficient with case management systems and technology
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Interest in exploring alternative dispute resolution and early resolution strategies

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
