A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and strong advocacy abilities. This position offers the opportunity to engage in complex intellectual property and patent litigation.

 

Job Details:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on intellectual property and patent issues.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court, hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on intellectual property matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and development.
  • Stay updated with changes in intellectual property law and related regulations.
  • Assist in due diligence for intellectual property transactions.
  • Participate in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Engage in client development activities, including meetings and presentations.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant technical fields or equivalent.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
