A prominent law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney with over five years of experience to join its growing practice. This role involves working with clients on complex estate planning, wealth management, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate and wealth planning, asset protection, and experience handling both routine and sophisticated trusts and estates matters.

Duties

  • Design and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies
  • Advise closely-held business owners on succession planning and asset protection
  • Develop and execute estate plans tailored to individual client needs, including multi-generational planning
  • Represent executors, administrators, and trustees in estate and trust administration
  • Handle contentious estate matters, such as trust modifications, will contests, and family settlement agreements
  • Provide guidance on charitable planning, including the establishment of private foundations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience in trusts and estates law
  • Strong ambition and initiative in client service and legal practice
  • Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on complex matters involving multiple family and financial dynamics

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials

Certifications

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to waive in preferred
