Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join its product liability, aviation, and automotive litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases for major clients in industries such as aviation, aerospace, automotive, and consumer products. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing litigation from the initial discovery phase through trial. This position is based in California, with options for Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Francisco locations, as well as potential for other areas.

Duties:

  • Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and interrogatories.
  • Conduct complex legal research and prepare detailed memoranda.
  • Prepare and review litigation-related documents, such as status reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Manage document reviews and collections in preparation for trial.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, from responsive pleadings to trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on product liability, aviation, or automotive warranty law.
  • Experience with discovery, law and motion, and federal and state court procedures.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to draft complex legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analysis capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
