This position requires expertise in legal analysis, extensive research, and courtroom representation in civil litigation cases involving property damage, bodily injury, and trucking matters.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal analysis of claims and causes of action related to general liability cases.
  • Perform extensive legal research and draft status reports, analyses for clients, substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Represent clients at hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions regularly.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests effectively.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses as needed.
  • Prepare thoroughly for trials and attend as required.
  • May involve some travel for case-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with exposure to general liability cases.
  • Experience with property damage, bodily injury, or trucking cases is advantageous.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Washington and Oregon; admission in Idaho or Utah is a plus.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong research abilities and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Prompt responsiveness to client inquiries via email and phone.
  • Excellent client service skills and professional telephone demeanor.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Washington and Oregon; additional admission in Idaho or Utah preferred.
