A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their litigation team in San Diego, CA. This position is designed for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience who thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to foster long-lasting client relationships.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to community associations on various matters, including corporate governance, contract negotiation, and CC&Rs interpretation.
  • Engage in litigation involving CC&R enforcement, breach of fiduciary duties, and personal injury claims.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve architectural disputes and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents related to litigation and compliance.
  • Act as an advisor and advocate for community associations, ensuring their interests are protected.
  • Participate in the firm’s commitment to ongoing education and staying current with California laws affecting community associations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
  • Ccommunity association law experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to legal practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of community association law is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
