This position is a long-term, non-partnership track role ideal for experienced attorneys passionate about mutual fund and ETF regulations, filings, and compliance.

Duties:

  • Handle filings for mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
  • Assist with launching new funds and reviewing/updating registration statements.
  • Prepare and review shareholder reports and fund board materials.
  • Conduct legal research on issues related to the Investment Company Act of 1940.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on significant client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of direct experience in asset management, investment funds, or related legal fields.
  • Strong academic background and exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Expertise in mutual fund and ETF regulations, including the 1940 Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
