Associate Attorney needed for Hartford office

Job Overview: A law firm in Hartford, CT, seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in various legal capacities, focusing on civil litigation matters.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations under the supervision of senior attorneys.

• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar and other State Bars a plus.
• Relevant experience in civil litigation preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar is required.
• Certification in specialized areas of law (e.g., trial advocacy) is advantageous.
