Duties:

  • Support experienced attorneys with legal research, drafting, and case preparation

  • Assist in advisory work regarding student services in pre-K through 12th-grade educational settings

  • Contribute to legal analysis involving the rights of students under disability-focused statutes

  • Engage in administrative proceedings and dispute resolution involving public agencies

  • Collaborate with legal teams on compliance matters with state and federal regulations

  • Participate in interactions with educational institutions, regulatory agencies, and administrative bodies

  • Assist in preparing responses and advocacy materials related to student accommodation issues

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of post-law school legal experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing

  • Familiarity or experience with special education law, Section 504, and ADA compliance

  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to working with diverse communities and client populations

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and legal reasoning capabilities

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Comfort engaging with both legal professionals and non-legal stakeholders
