Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join a remote team based in Arizona. This position will involve handling bodily injury, first-party, and bad faith cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting motions, conducting depositions, managing client reporting, and handling appearances with minimal supervision. Location:

Duties:

  • Draft motions and conduct depositions, oral arguments, and hearings.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage client reporting.
  • Independently handle assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Handle appearances in court as required.
  • Manage a caseload focused on bodily injury and first-party/bad faith matters.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients in insurance defense matters.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (additional state licensure is a plus).
  • 3-10 years of experience in insurance defense law (preferred).
  • Experience in bodily injury and first-party/bad faith insurance matters (required).
  • Ability to handle complex cases with minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a significant caseload.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar (required).
  • Additional state bar licenses are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload.
  • Experience in insurance defense litigation, particularly in bodily injury and first-party/bad faith matters.
