A law firm seeks an enthusiastic Associate Attorney to join its thriving practice in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent law school graduate or a new attorney eager to gain experience in personal injury law. The role involves coordinating all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial preparations to post-trial activities, within a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Duties

  • Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings and motions, and file them with the appropriate court.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
  • Maintain comprehensive indexes of pleadings and discovery materials.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for trial preparation.
  • Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
  • Gather relevant information from various sources to support cases.
  • Liaise between trial teams and internal/external parties.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation-related matters.
  • Help prepare jury instructions and assist witnesses.
  • Provide support with case settlements and client enrollments.
  • Draft demand letters and prepare reports for weekly staff meetings.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Florida Bar License.
  • Bilingual candidates (Haitian Creole and English) are preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with motions, discovery processes, evidence, litigation documentation, and court procedures is essential.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • An active Florida Bar License is required.
