CTIA Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an CTIA Associate Attorney for their New York City office. The CTIA Associate Attorney will primarily focus on copyright and trademark litigation matters, including conducting research, drafting discovery documents, preparing substantive memoranda, and participating in court hearings and depositions.

Duties:

• Conducting legal research on copyright and trademark issues
• Drafting discovery documents
• Preparing substantive memoranda
• Participating in court hearings and depositions
• Handling trademark prosecution tasks
• Providing copyright and trademark counseling
• Addressing Internet-related IP issues
• Drafting pleadings and memoranda of law

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in copyright and/or trademark litigation
• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with trademark prosecution
• Experience in copyright and trademark counseling
• Knowledge of Internet-related IP issues
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings and memoranda of law

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

New York Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly

Skills:

• Strong interest in and understanding of copyright, trademark, and related issues
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with written and oral advocacy
• Strong academic credentials
