Family Law Attorney

Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its growing and dynamic team. The position provides an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a passion for family law to manage their own caseload while receiving strong support from staff and management. This is a chance to work in a successful and busy practice, handling a diverse range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child support enforcement, and adoptions.

Duties

• Manage a caseload independently, with support from staff and management.
• Handle family law matters including divorce, paternity, custody disputes, child support enforcement, adoptions, and other civil litigation issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide clear legal guidance.
• Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage client expectations.
• Ensure case deadlines are met and all filings are completed on time.
• Collaborate with other team members as needed to provide comprehensive legal services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience.
• Family law experience is preferred, but not required.
• Active membership in good standing with the Arizona, Utah, or New Mexico State Bar.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong desire to practice in family law and civil litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Arizona, Utah, or New Mexico State Bar in good standing.
