Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join their growing team in Irvine, California. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will bring at least seven years of experience in family law litigation or related civil litigation fields. The successful attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload, leading a legal team, and representing clients in court.

Duties:

  • Oversee a team of legal professionals, including senior and junior attorneys, and paralegals.
  • Manage and prioritize caseloads, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are appropriately delegated.
  • Prepare complex legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Review and finalize materials before filing or service.
  • Conduct client and expert meetings, providing high-level guidance and support.
  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of family law experience, including extensive litigation exposure.
  • Strong understanding of California Family Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and Evidence Code.
  • Proven experience in managing complex family law matters, including high-conflict divorce and parentage cases.
  • Expertise in legal research, writing, and preparation of detailed legal documents.
  • Prior leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and legal software (Xspouse/Xarrears).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of California.
