Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled mid-level Commercial Contracts Associate to join its Business Group. This role involves providing legal support to a range of business clients, focusing on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in the consumer goods and products sectors. Location:

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts, including:
    • Manufacturing Agreements
    • Distribution Agreements
    • Sales Broker Agreements
    • Raw Material Supply Agreements
    • Packaging Supply Agreements
    • Equipment Leases
    • Equipment Purchase Agreements
    • Product Purchase and Sale/Supply Agreements
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple office locations to address client needs
  • Consult directly with clients, providing legal expertise across various industries
  • Participate in firm-sponsored pro bono and public service projects
  • Support and contribute to the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts
  • Strong understanding of contract law and risk management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across industries and within teams
  • Excellent client-service skills with strong written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in one of the specified locations (Seattle, Spokane, Portland, New York, or Washington, D.C.)
