Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its Trusts & Estates team. This role centers on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation for individuals and families with complex financial portfolios. The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism, exceptional interpersonal skills, and technical knowledge in estate tax and probate matters.

Duties:

  • Design and implement customized estate plans tailored to individual client goals

  • Guide clients through the probate and estate administration process

  • Advise on advanced strategies for asset protection and wealth transfer

  • Analyze and apply current estate and gift tax laws

  • Draft legal instruments such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents

  • Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, and financial professionals to coordinate planning

  • Maintain compliance with legal ethics and confidentiality standards

  • Participate in internal practice development and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts

  • 5–10 years of dedicated experience in trust and estate planning

  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-net-worth clients and complex matters

  • Familiarity with probate court procedures and tax implications

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with some portable business preferred

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to thorough, thoughtful work

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred
