This position will involve working on complex transactions related to balance sheet financing and asset management. The successful candidate will bring both expertise in the field and a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Advise and represent clients in commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Handle CMBS and balance sheet financing matters from inception to closing.
  • Provide asset management and loan servicing support for CMBS/balance sheet loans.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various financial and legal documentation.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and provide written analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage multiple matters efficiently.
  • Attend meetings and negotiate with counterparties to resolve issues related to real estate finance.
  • Support senior attorneys with strategic decision-making and case development.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance with a focus on CMBS.
  • Strong familiarity with balance sheet financing and asset management/servicing.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking.
  • License to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to gain admission).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record preferred.

Certifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar admission (or willingness to obtain).
