The selected candidate will be responsible for handling matters related to easements, water rights, city/county permitting, the Coastal Act, CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), land use litigation, and writs. Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills are essential for this role, and the candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a legal team.

Duties:

  • Handle legal matters related to land use, real estate, easements, and water rights.
  • Manage city and county permitting processes for real estate developments.
  • Navigate and apply the Coastal Act and CEQA requirements in land use cases.
  • Represent clients in land use litigation, including writs and related proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases and develop strategies.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents and pleadings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and legal teams.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a focus on land use and real estate law.
  • Proficiency in handling easements, water rights, permitting, the Coastal Act, CEQA, and land use litigation.

Education:
