Job Overview:
A San Francisco, CA law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves defending and prosecuting employment-related lawsuits, advising employers on employment law matters, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in employment law, strong litigation skills, and the ability to handle complex cases, including class actions and PAGA claims.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations.
  • Handle class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, contract issues, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Stay current with changes in employment law and agency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 4-6 years of experience in employment law, with a strong preference for candidates with class action/PAGA experience.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.
  • In-depth understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.
  • Proven track record in employment litigation and dispute resolution.
