Workers Compensation Attorney

Duties

• Manage a substantial caseload of Workers' Compensation cases
• Travel as required between boroughs for hearings and client meetings
• Conduct opening and closing arguments, as well as direct and cross-examinations of witnesses
• File necessary appeals, rebuttals, and summations as part of case proceedings
• Maintain detailed familiarity with case records to ensure effective representation

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating empathy and client-focused service
• Ability to work independently with a proactive, positive attitude and assume significant responsibility

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar license

• Proficiency in Workers' Compensation law and related legal principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
