Job Overview: A national defense law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Practice Group in Henderson, NV. This role focuses on defending Medical Malpractice and Assisted Living/Long Term Care cases. Location:

Duties:

  • Review and summarize medical records for case advocacy.
  • Draft motions and represent clients in hearings and court appearances.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions of both fact and expert witnesses.
  • Draft comprehensive reports, including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
  • Respond to discovery requests and draft related motions.
  • Attend court appearances regularly and manage case progression through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal.
  • Take and defend depositions for various witnesses, ensuring strong case development.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in General Liability defense, with a focus on Medical Malpractice and Assisted Living/Long Term Care cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in legal research, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to draft motions for summary judgment and respond to discovery-related motions.
  • Availability for regular court appearances and depositions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Nevada State Bar.
