Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate

Job Overview
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Senior Associate, Counsel, or Junior Partner to join its Charlotte office. This role is ideal for candidates with 5-10 years of trademark litigation experience. The successful candidate will work on complex trademark cases, leveraging their expertise in intellectual property law. Duties

• Manage and assist with trademark litigation cases, from inception through trial
• Develop and implement strategies for handling intellectual property disputes
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents
• Represent clients in court and before administrative agencies
• Collaborate with senior partners and clients on case strategy and management
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff
• Maintain and cultivate client relationships through effective communication and advocacy
• Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law, particularly trademark law
• Handle all aspects of pre-trial and trial preparation, including discovery, depositions, and expert witness coordination

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on trademark cases
• Proven experience managing complex litigation matters from start to finish
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to effectively represent clients in court and negotiate settlements
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (preferred)
• Additional state bar admissions are a plus
