Job Overview

A prominent international law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its Antitrust practice group in the Bay Area. The role involves working on complex antitrust matters including pre-merger notification compliance, civil litigation, and criminal antitrust investigations. This is a strong opportunity for attorneys with focused antitrust experience and a desire to work on high-impact regulatory and litigation matters for major clients.

Location

Duties

  • Advise clients on pre-merger notification and Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act compliance

  • Represent clients in civil and/or criminal antitrust investigations and proceedings

  • Draft legal filings including motions, memoranda, and regulatory submissions

  • Engage with federal agencies such as the FTC and DOJ on antitrust matters

  • Support litigation teams in discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on U.S. antitrust laws

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of antitrust experience at a law firm or government agency

  • Familiarity with pre-merger filing processes and merger review frameworks

  • Background in either civil or criminal antitrust litigation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive matters efficiently

  • Strong verbal and written advocacy skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Excellent academic credentials preferred

Certifications

  • Active admission to the California State Bar

Skills

  • Deep understanding of antitrust laws, enforcement trends, and merger review procedures

  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities

  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory issues to clients and stakeholders
